How to get there

Bus
Recommended
Numerous bus routes terminate at or pass through the Circular Quay bus interchange on Alfred Street. Key routes include the 333, 392N, and 396. On Friday nights from 6 pm and on weekends from 5 pm, buses are rerouted to Martin Place.

Metro
Recommended
The closest metro station to Circular Quay is Martin Place Station. From here, visitors can follow the Vivid Light Walk to Circular Quay. Wynyard Station is also nearby.

Train
Recommended
Sydney Trains provide direct access to Circular Quay Station on the City Circle line, served by the T2, T3, and T8 lines. On Saturday nights and the Sunday of the long weekend in June, trains will not drop off passengers at Circular Quay Station from 6 pm to 11 pm.

Bike
Cycling is a viable option, with several dedicated cycleways leading towards the city. Bike racks are available at Circular Quay. Cyclists should be prepared to dismount and walk in congested areas.

Ferry
The Circular Quay ferry wharves are a major transport hub with services connecting to various points around Sydney Harbour. Ferry services are very popular during Vivid Sydney.

Taxi
Taxis and ride-sharing services are available, but will be affected by road closures and heavy traffic. Designated drop-off and pick-up points are typically located on the periphery of the event footprint.

Walking
Walking to Circular Quay is an excellent way to experience the festival. Key pedestrian routes include walking from Wynyard Station, Martin Place Station, and Town Hall. The Vivid Light Walk is an 8km trail.
