How to get there

Bus
Recommended
Bus tours are available from Flåm and Aurland, with departures from the Visitor Center at bus stop C in Flåm. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes each way.

Taxi
Recommended
Taxis, such as Aurland Taxi, can be pre-booked for a flexible way to reach the viewpoint. Drivers are experienced with the mountain road.

Bike
Cycling from Flåm involves a bike path for the first 4 kilometers, then the main road. The climb from Aurland is very steep, and an electric bike is recommended.

Car
Driving is possible via the Aurlandsfjellet Scenic Route. The road from Aurland has steep, narrow sections with hairpin bends. There is a free parking lot at the viewpoint.

Walking
A marked trail to Stegastein starts from the Vangen Church in Aurland. The hike is strenuous, covering 2.6 to 2.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 650 meters.
