How to get there

Car
Recommended
Driving to Camp Tamok (Tamokveien 1374) or Camp Troll (near Svensby ferry terminal) is possible. The E8 highway leads to Camp Tamok, and Rv91 to the Breivikeidet ferry for Camp Troll.

Shuttle
Recommended
Tour operators provide shuttle services, picking up from Prostneset Bus, Boat & Hurtigruten Terminal and hotels like Radisson Blu or Scandic Ishavshotel. The journey to Camp Tamok is a 90-minute bus ride, and to Camp Troll involves a bus and ferry.

Bus
Public buses, like route 150 and the Arctic Route, travel towards the Lyngen Alps, with a stop at the Breivikeidet ferry quay. Route 105 goes to Øverbygd, near Camp Tamok, but schedules are infrequent.

Ferry
To reach Camp Troll, travelers take a ferry from Breivikeidet to Svensby as part of the journey.

Taxi
Taxis are available in Tromsø and can be hired for direct travel to the snowmobile safari locations. It is advisable to book in advance.
