Direct highway buses operate from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku) in Tokyo and from Narita/Haneda airports to Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal and other points in Hakuba.

Train

The Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station, then the JR Oito Line to Hakuba Station. The JR Limited Express Azusa operates directly from Shinjuku Station to Hakuba Station.

Car
Driving to Hakuba Valley is possible via the Chuo and Nagano Expressways. Parking is available at ski resorts and accommodations. An International Driving Permit is required.

Shuttle
A comprehensive network of shuttle buses connects the ten different ski resorts. The Hakuba Valley Shuttle Bus is free for holders of the Hakuba Valley all-mountain lift pass.

Taxi
