How to get there

Bus
Recommended
Metro Tasmania buses, including routes 502, 601, 615, 625, 722, 726, 732, X31, X32, and X33, stop near the gardens at Stop 2, Tasman Hwy (Govt. House), a 10-15 minute walk away. The Red Decker hop-on-hop-off bus also stops at the main entrance on Lower Domain Road.

Taxis and ride-sharing services provide direct access, with drop-off and pick-up available at both the main entrance on Lower Domain Road and the lower entrance on the Domain Highway.

A 25-30 minute walk from the city center via the Soldiers Memorial Walk or Lower Domain Road. The City to Gardens Circuit is also an option.

Bike
Cycling tracks extend from the city along both sides of the Tasman Highway towards the Tasman Bridge. Access to the gardens by bike is available from Lower Domain Road and the intercity cycleway. Bikes must be walked through the gardens.

A short drive from Hobart CBD with ample free parking at the main top entrance on Lower Domain Road and the bottom entrance on the Domain Highway.
