How to get there
Bus

The local bus network provides direct access to the base, with the key bus stop being "Matten b. I., Hotel Sonne", served by lines 104 and 105.
Train
Recommended
Interlaken is served by two main railway stations: Interlaken Ost and Interlaken West. The new Matten bei Interlaken station is the closest to the base. From Interlaken Ost, take a regional train one stop to Matten bei Interlaken.
Bike
Interlaken is exceptionally bike-friendly. Numerous rental shops offer bicycles, suitable for exploring the town and surrounding areas.
Boat
BLS Schifffahrt operates regular ferry services on Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Boats on Lake Thun arrive at the Interlaken West pier, and boats on Lake Brienz dock at the Interlaken Ost pier. From either pier, travelers can connect to the local bus or train network.
Cable Car
The region's numerous cable cars and funiculars provide access to mountain viewpoints and trailheads. These are typically reached via a short train or bus ride from Interlaken's main stations.

The base is easily reachable via local roads. Public parking is available, including Park+Ride Matten bei Interlaken next to the new train station.
Taxi
Multiple taxi companies operate 24/7 in the Interlaken area. A taxi from either train station to the base would be a short ride.
Walking
The base is very walkable. From Interlaken West station, it is approximately a 20-minute walk. From Interlaken Ost, the walk is around 30 minutes.
