How to get there

Bus
Recommended
The regional bus service (Nordland fylkeskommune) stops at the Vikingmuseet stop, about 100 meters from the entrance. Buses 300 and 741 serve the museum directly from Svolvær and Leknes.

Car
Recommended
The museum is easily accessible by car via the E10. Parking is available on-site, including spaces for buses, motorhomes, and bicycles. Entrance B is reserved for mobility-impaired transport.

Ferry
Hurtigruten coastal ferry service stops at Stamsund and Svolvær. Other ferry routes connect the mainland to the islands. From the ferry terminals, visitors can use rental cars or the local bus system.

Taxi
Taxis are available from Leknes and Svolvær airports, as well as other locations in the Lofoten Islands.
